Letting myself feel inspired, letting myself type away on these keys with no reservation. There are no inhibitions to my writing. How unusual. Now it’s your turn. Let it out.

Writing Prompt No.10

This week, my mind has been hyper-focused on my finances. Well, that among other things. But, the majority of my thoughts have stemmed from my current financial situation. I’ve come to learn that finances are ever in flux. Our finances, in a way, are much like our emotions. We have highs, we have lows. But it is my opinion that there should be some kind of constant when it comes to either. That constant, to me, is passion. When working and following our passion, the wage we make is less important than the work we are doing. Money is often…

Writing Prompt No.9

This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about fearlessness. Over the years, fearlessness has not, in my opinion, been one of my strongest traits. Patience hasn’t either. I know this because, in the past, whether intentionally or not, I was always in such a hurry. Whether it was in trying to talk to or be with someone, do something, or go somewhere, I’ve often tried to rush things, and it was apparent in the way I behaved. Whether conscious of it or not, I was acting out of fear. I wasn’t just being proactive, like I thought I was. So…

Writing Prompt No.8

This week’s theme, as seen on Reddit, is “Monsters.” There were many ways I could approach this theme. However, because I have been heavily focused on my writing and editing business, I decided to approach it from that angle. There are many “monsters” that one can face during the writing process. For some, like me, a monster called Procrastination and another one called Trauma Afraid to be Resolved are ones that have crippled my writing process. But I am happy to say that I have defeated these monsters, particularly when I completed my Master’s Thesis. Still, as my life evolves and new…

This morning, my lesson in A Course in Miracles was about exactly that: miracles. It highlighted the importance of both the miracles we offer as well as the ones we receive. So I thought, why not make that today’s theme? The daily exchange of miracles is, after all, what makes the world go ’round. They take place between people, between animals, between all things in existence. These exchanges are what make us who we are and guide how we live our lives. Thus, it is my belief that if we take the time to focus on the miracles that take place everyday, our minds will, in turn, create even more….

Writing Prompt No.5

For this week’s #ThemeThursday, I wanted to pick a theme that runs through everything I do: connection. I live for the connections I create and maintain with friends and loved ones. Even the creation of “Kristy’s Daily Hashtags” was to encourage deeper bonds and connections with you, and to have a platform for us to share ideas. So what better theme to start with than that? In today’s day and age, connections, both creating new and growing current ones, are a part of our everyday lives be they digital or physical. In fact, one can say that making connections has been…

What is your favorite quote of all time? What impact did those words have on your life? Take it further: Share the story. Put us in the moment when you read those words and were changed as a person, or a time the quote helped you with a situation you were going through. Describe the internal and external shift you felt upon reading, absorbing, and applying those words. For more writing prompts, click here.

One of the beauties of art is that someone can look at a piece and completely identify with it. Some even find themselves within it as they immerse in the piece, unlocking hidden parts of themselves they didn’t even know were there. If you had to pick one work of art that depicted your life and who you are, which one would it be and why? (Include an image of it in your response!) For more writing prompts, click here.

Every morning, I sit with my coffee and communicate with myself and my guides. I allow the space for whatever needs to come to the surface, and I process it. I reflect on the day prior, whether it’s dissecting an event or simply being thankful for it. I explore what I’m feeling in the moment and my intentions for the day.

It’s also my time to connect with those closest to me, in a way that’s different than how I could communicate with them otherwise. Sometimes, I need to say something to someone I’m not currently in communication with but the words need to be said. And so they are. ❤️

Unfiltered, I let my words come out and travel on the stream of consciousness to where they needs to go. It’s a morning routine that centers me. It’s my necessary alone time to just be, to bear witness to me. ☕️

Inspiration can strike at any given hour. As of late, I’ve being called to write in the middle of the night. In the silence, in the calm within the darkness, the words have been coming through. That solitude, that private relationship between a writer and their thoughts, watching it reveal itself on the page, it’s a beautiful thing. #solitude #writing

Ideas have been coming through. I’m ready to start my new project. Let’s do this. ✍🏻

P.S. I may be home but the coffee was to-go because your girl ran out of coffee filters. 😅 But I went to @luna.espresso.atx nearby and got a toasted caramel latte with oat milk, and it’s delicious! Will definitely visit again. ☕️

Would love to see what you all are working on! ❤️

Last night at work, we were on lockdown due to notification of an active shooter nearby. This morning, while drinking my coffee and reflecting on the events of yesterday, it got me thinking about a potential cause of such events and what could be happening in a larger sense.

It is a stream of consciousness, simply what came to me. I share in the hopes of bringing to mind further question, reflection, discourse, and positive action.

“Following Your Instincts, Your Vision”

Sometimes the human world appears different than what we see in our minds. We have a vision of something, or someone, and sometimes the vision in our minds doesn’t come to fruition. Sometimes, we find ourselves disillusioned, disappointed. When that happens, when our vision is better than reality, we are forced to look at the situation and ask “What do I believe? What do I do now?”

I often feel called to parks to write. Lately, I have been pulled to @thedomainaustin’s Central Park.

I had heard of its energy before, from a friend, but it’s been amazing feeling it for myself. It really is a beautiful space.

In walking around, in sitting in different areas, both listening intently to the sounds of nature and the public or getting lost in music, I’ve allowed my words the space to come through. I’ve created a lot since being here, in words and illustrations, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s to become of them. ✍🏻

Lesson in this moment: Follow your calling and allow yourself to be pulled and guided to where you need to go. ❤️
