The world is an illusion, a powerful one indeed. While the Earth can bring about many pleasures, it is wise to hold fast to the Divine vision. A lot has happened in my life, I’ve faced a lot of trying terrors, and frankly, there have been times where I’ve lost hope…in myself and in the world. But amidst the darkness, a ray of light has always shone through and illuminated in me what’s truly important. The boon of importance that has been given to me is that of the reborn soul. While the idea of rebirth is a glorious one and presents itself with a resulting refinement, it is not without much doubt, trial, and destruction. A doubt that is brought about by the ego. Ultimately, the ego wants to hold you back from making that leap. The ego thrives by instilling fear and worry in one’s being. Now, it is crucial to understand the intentions of the ego: it believes it is protecting you from harm that is inevitable based on the past. For example, your ego might stop you from entering a romantic relationship fully for fear that you’ll be hurt like the last time. The thing is, when we live in fear, we never truly live at all. Fear and worry are faith’s opposite. To live in faith, in trust, is to be truly alive. And in order to live in that faith, I have come to the realization that one must be purged of the past, and all that one knows, and be reborn. We live in a society that instills in us false beliefs, for the most part, with very few who share the truth. It is up to us to know which are the beliefs we should take on and which are the ones we cannot allow ourselves to give into. And that is where the Divine vision comes into play. Once you have that vision of love in your sight and in your heart, it is up to you to hold onto it. The path to arriving may be a bumpy one, but once you get there…you’ll realize THIS is real life.
